Spring continues. Let the birthing begin!
The 2012 calving season has begun at Mountain Glen Farm. The first arrival was born on March 29th - a cute ½ Angus, ½ South Poll heifer calf.
Today, our second calf was born - a pure bred (100%) South Poll heifer. The face markings are adorable.
Since we are continuing to build our South Poll herd, heifers (females) are the desired sex . The best of the heifer calves will become our future breeding cows.
Sheep…still plump, but no offspring, yet. Any day, any hour, any minute…
